    Good Vibes This way

    Transitional dressing made easy

Well, we’ve reached that time of year where the calendar says it’s time to dress for fall, but the temperature outside insists that summer isn’t quite over. This can make the already difficult task of summer-into-fall transitional dressing even more difficult. So, what’s a girl to do? Knowing the value of keeping your clothing simple and taking seasonal transitions slowly is the key. The easiest place to start, of course, is with layers. Because you’re basically changing the vibe of your outfit without changing its warm weather functionality. And, you don’t have to change out every part of your wardrobe at once. Part of the beauty of transitional dressing is that you can take it in small steps. So, in my case today, jeans meet a bandeau and layered blazer. The best part: I haven’t given up on my trusty colors or sandals just yet.

These C/MEO Collective Peripheral jeans are a sleeker, more stylized take on the mom jean so in vogue, cut along an ultra high-waist in rigid denim with press stud hems to taper the silhouette or allow for a wide bottom and different shoe styles such as a pair of white sneakers.

The flattering corset ultra high-rise waist plays really well with the strapless bandeau I found at Amazon that comes in packs of 4 and a wide choice of colors.

I layered a light pink blazer from J.Crew on top of the look, paired with fuchsia braided toe thong mules from Nasty Gal. I completed the getup with Le Chiquito micro bag in white calf leather from Jacquemus and substantial collar necklace that all together adds instant gravitas to any look.
